¶ Introduction
Endless OS is unable to offer device support for all scanners, however we do provide best-effort support for a range of modern devices:
- If your scanner can be accessed from a smartphone, it should work fine with Endless OS, over either network (WiFi/Ethernet), USB cable, or both.
- Other scanners are less likely to be supported, unfortunately; it is generally hard to say for sure without testing the device in question.
¶ Scanning
If your scanner is supported by Endless OS, it will be detected and installed automatically, and you will be able to use it with no further setup required.
Scanning can be performed with the Document Scanner app included as a part of Endless OS. You can launch this from the desktop or from the search bar.

Supported scanners include:
- Driverless scanners which can support AirScan, eSCL or WSL driverless scanning protocols.
- Scanners that are supported by the open source scanner drivers shipped as part of Debian's SANE distribution.
